Numbered Limited Edition 1.5" Red & Black Tärnsjö Double Prong Quick Release Belt
My latest belt release is a gorgeous numbered limited edition belt made with my Patent Pending Double Prong Quick Release Buckle in black plated brass and paired with the striking red leather from the Swedish tannery Tärnsjö. This release is limited to 15 pieces and each belt will be numbered, eg: 1 / 15.
The buckle and leather keeper are secured with two double rows of hand stitched ritza tiger thread in red & black keeping true to the color theme of the belt.
The Double Prong Quick Release Buckle features the same quick release action that you're familiar with. Simply flick down on the lever and the belt will come undone. The tension keeps it buckled, and it will never come undone on it's own.
All of my quick release buckles are made in England. This particular one is black electroplated brass. Over time, the black plating may wear off in areas of stress, revealing the raw brass beneath, though this is a slow patina process as the plating is quite strong.
The leather is a truly beautiful 9oz red vegetable tanned leather from the renowned Tärnsjö tannery in Sweden. Rich and deep in hue, more vibrant than the burgundy sedgwick. I was fortunate enough to receive a piece of leather from this tannery as a gift several years ago, and I have been eager to acquire more ever since. I have a limited amount of this leather in the pictured red, and a striking brown that you can find here.
This leather patinas gorgeously, it is not a waxy bridle like the sedgwick, and will be much quicker to absorb oils and sunlight.
To order this belt, please measure one of your old belts using the diagram pictured above. The system that I use is the most accurate method of measurement, and involves measuring from the end of the buckle prong, to the hole that fits you best (this method accounts for any difference in length between your buckle and mine). You can add your measurement in the measurement section above, or you can shoot me a message thereafter. Allow 2 weeks for completion.
