1.5" Red Tärnsjö Swedish Vegetable Tanned Leather - Double or Single Prong Quick Release Belt - Brass, Nicke, Copper
I am extremely excited to announce my Patent Pending Design: The Double Prong Quick Release Buckle!!
This has been a long time coming, and keeping it hush has been a very difficult task. I had to wait for the prototype to be made, sketches to be drawn and patent to be filed, and then I had to wait for the first batch of buckles to come in. Well, they're here, and they are absolutely beautiful!
The Double Prong Quick Release Buckle features the same quick release action that you're familiar with. Simply flick down on the lever and the belt will come undone. The tension keeps it buckled, and it will never come undone on it's own.
Handmade in England, the solid brass and solid copper hardware options will both develop a striking patina over time. The hardware is secured with solid brass or solid copper hammered rivets that are branded with "Pigeon Tree". The Nickel Plated Brass option is a high shine silver color that will more or less remain the same over time, it will be secured with Nickel Chicago Screws.
The leather is a truly beautiful 9oz red vegetable tanned leather from the renowned Tärnsjö tannery in Sweden. Rich and deep in hue, more vibrant than the burgundy sedgwick, but richer than the hand-dyed oxblood. I was fortunate enough to receive a piece of leather from this tannery as a gift several years ago, and I have been eager to acquire more ever since. I have a limited amount of this leather in the pictured red, and a striking brown that you can find here.
This leather patina's gorgeously, it is not a waxy bridle like the sedgwick, and will be much quicker to absorb oils and sunlight.
Doing things a little differently here. Instead of having a set design available, I leave it to you to combine your choice of single or double prong buckle, in any of the 3 finishes pictured. I have single prong buckles in each finish, the pictures are just for color reference.
To order this belt, please measure one of your old belts using the diagram pictured above. The system that I use is the most accurate method of measurement, and involves measuring from the end of the buckle prong, to the hole that fits you best (this method accounts for any difference in length between your buckle and mine). You can add your measurement in the measurement section above, or you can shoot me a message thereafter. Allow 2 weeks for completion.
