1.5" Walpier Rocky Foresta Italian Vegetable Tanned Belt
This is the first Italian leather I have ever sold as a belt, and I am confident to say that it will not be the last. Before even listing this belt for sale, I've already gone ahead and ordered more of this stuff, it's beautiful! Weighing in at a sturdy but wearable 9-10oz, the best way I can describe this is to compare it to the Tärnsjö leather in a similar color. Slightly lighter than Tärnsjö, with a less dramatic, but equally as stunning grain, it has a medium temper and reminds me a lot of what the Sedgwick English bridle feels like after it's been worn in and the stiffness subsides and the surface wax has faded away. The back is finished for a smooth hand feel.
Being vegetable tanned, this leather is only going to get better with age, you can expect it to continue to darken as it patinas with use. Pictured next to the dark brown Tärnsjö for reference, also pictured with it's lighter brown "Cuoio" brother, which you can find here. Both belts are pictured in solid copper.
My patented Double Prong Quick Release Buckle features the same quick release action that you're familiar with. Simply flick down on the lever and the belt will come undone. The tension keeps it buckled, and it will never come undone on it's own.
Handmade in England, the solid brass and solid copper hardware options will both develop a striking patina over time. The hardware is secured with solid brass or solid copper hammered rivets that are branded with "Pigeon Tree". The Nickel Plated Brass option is a high shine silver color that will more or less remain the same over time, it will be secured with Nickel Chicago Screws.
To order this belt, please measure one of your old belts using the diagram pictured above. The system that I use is the most accurate method of measurement, and involves measuring from the end of the buckle prong, to the hole that fits you best (this method accounts for any difference in length between your buckle and mine).
