1" Slim Belt with Japanese Brass Hardware and Swedish Tärnsjö or Vegtan Leather - Made to Order
The inspiration behind this belt is that there is a severe lack of quality items for Women, not only in this space, but in the fashion world in general. I wanted to bring the same level of Made to Order quality that you'll find on the rest of my belts, but with a more graceful and slim silhouette.
That said, this is of course a gender neutral belt that can be worn by anyone.
The Details -
Keeping in theme with the rest of my belts, only the highest quality materials are used here. I sourced solid brass Japanese buckles for the hardware, which have a beautiful horseshoe shape and a nice heft to it, this is not cheap flimsy material. The brass is raw and will patina over time, enhancing it's beauty.
A defining feature on this belt is the double wrapped leather keeper, I think this is a cool and unique detail that adds an additional touch of femininity to the belt.
The buckle and keeper are secured using solid brass hammered "Pigeon Tree" branded rivets. This belt will last forever, it will never come apart.
This belt comes standard with 7 holes to allow for more adjustability between high and low waisted pants. Pictured with Teardrop holes, but regular holes are available as well.
Leather Options -
The red and brown leathers pictured are an absolutely gorgeous 8-9oz vegetable tanned leather from the renowned Tärnsjö tannery in Sweden. I was fortunate enough to receive a piece of this leather as a gift several years ago, and I have been eager to acquire more ever since. Luckily during my trip to Sweden in 2018, I managed to form a connection with a very helpful source who has been able ship me this leather directly from Stockholm! The grain is absolutely stunning, this leather is one of the finest I have ever worked with, it's absolutely beautiful.
This third leather option is 8-9oz Herman Oak Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather. Herman Oak makes one of the finest vegtan leathers in the world. This leather is like a blank canvas; it starts off pale because the tannery leaves it un-dyed, but over time it will develop a unique patina, becoming a dark and rich brown over time. This leather will not stop getting better with use. Various oils and leather balms can be used to speed up the patina process.
Please follow the sizing diagram (last image) carefully! It is important that you measure from the end of the buckle to the hole that fits you best on one of your existing belts. DO NOT measure from where the leather folds over the buckle.
