----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Santalum and I have decided to make these and the DIY Waxed Flesh Boot available year-round. Due to this not being a batch-made pre-order like the previous rounds, the price will reflect the additional costs of shipping just one pair of boots at a time from Indonesia.

The Boot-

• Handmade in Indonesia by Santalum (EST 2010)
• 2.2mm Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather Upper
• Veldtschoen (Stitch-down) Welt
• 3mm Leather Midsole with Dainite Studded Sole
• Leather Stacked Heel with Dainite Studded Heel
• Partially Structured Toe, 5 Brass Eyelets with 2 Brass Speedhooks
• Gusseted Tongue
• Includes Flat Brown Cotton Laces and Flat Black Cotton Laces (pictured), as well as a branded Pigeon Tree / Santalum dust covers.
• Each boot's insole is branded with "Made for ________" and your own name, for a truly bespoke touch.

The boots start their journey in natural un-dyed vegetable tanned leather, but when they make their way to me after being custom built for you, I put the Pigeon Tree signature touch on them and dye them Indigo. The indigo and leather dyeing process is something that I have been working on for nearly two years now, and I know what it takes to dye a product like this successfully. It's a very involved procedure.

Matching Belt-
There is no better pairing for this boot than my indigo quick release belt, and as such, I'm offering it at a 15% discount when purchased with the boots as a set.

Add it onto your order here, and include your measurement along with your boot measurements. (Follow the measuring diagram for the belt and make sure you measure from the END of the belt buckle to the hole that fits you best).

Ordering and Sizing Details-

These boots are custom sized per order. I've attached a sizing diagram to the images above. The key point here is to make sure that your foot is fully expanded when tracing the outline, because of this, it's most helpful to have someone trace your foot for you. If you were to kneel and trace your own foot, the pressure wouldn't be evenly distributed on your foot and it wouldn't be able to expand fully. If in doubt, size up slightly. Please provide the measurements in CM for our friends in Indonesia.

In addition to your foot's measurement, include as many brands of boot/sneaker as you can and what size you wear in each. The more reference the better.

Your measurements should be input into the "Measurements Length / Width" section above - if you want to get your order in, but supply me with your measurements later on, you can e-mail me after your order has been placed and I will update your order notes with the measurement details.

*Please note that there is a +$30 upcharge for measurements above 29cm

I will be sending the order details to Santalum as they come in so production can begin immediately.

Due to these not being part of the batch pre-order, the turnaround will be quicker. That said, allow a couple of months.

Indigo Leather Care-

If you take good care of your boots, they will take good care of you! These boots are crafted using the Stitch-Down welt, which means that you can have them re-soled by a professional, and in theory, they can last a lifetime. The leather is going to need to be hydrated and protected- the dyeing process leaves the leather very dry because when leather comes into contact with water, it causes the oil to leave the leather. I remedy this by treating the leather with a blend of waxes and oils. My recommended product of choice for the longevity of your indigo leather products is Smith's Leather Balm. Once you've applied an even layer to the entire boot, if there is excess, wipe off with a soft cloth. The boots will darken immediately with application, but will lighten back up after the treatment has settled. Re-apply as needed, but I recommend several applications in your first month of use. Smith's is one of the only items that I carry in my store that I don't make myself, and I wouldn't do that if I didn't wholeheartedly love the product.

Return Policies and Disclaimers-

• Because the boots (and belt) are custom sized, they will both be final sale. If there's been an error in sizing with either the boots or belt, then we will work to correct the problem as quickly as possible. Please double and triple check all of your measurements so there will be no errors from your side of things.
• The indigo hue will vary from boot to boot, it will look different in different lighting conditions, and it may look different than the pictured boots, this is normal and to be expected. I won't send any boots that don't meet my standards in every way.
• Because glue is used  around the stitched areas of the boot, there is a chance that some boots will have very minor areas where the indigo will not take, this is normal to a point- I won't send any boots that have any significant glue issues, but very minor instances will be admissible.

Any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch and myself or Santalum will be able to offer the info you need.
